Established in 2024 and run by the Relief Foundation for Health and Rural Development, Agastya Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital is committed to nurturing a new generation of Ayurveda professionals by blending ancient wisdom with modern scientific knowledge.
Our attached hospital provides 60+ inpatient beds, a dedicated Panchakarma centre, outpatient services across all 13 departments, a modern Operation Theatre, and state-of-the-art diagnostic facilities — delivering comprehensive Ayurvedic healthcare to the communities of Koppal and surrounding districts.
The college is approved by NCISM and affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Karnataka, offering the five-and-a-half year Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) programme.
Walk-in and appointment-based consultations across all 13 Ayurvedic departments. Our OPD sees patients for fresh consultations, follow-ups, and therapy planning under the supervision of qualified physicians.
Round-the-clock inpatient care for patients undergoing Panchakarma therapies, post-operative recovery, or extended Ayurvedic treatment protocols, supported by resident medical officers and trained nursing staff.
Kayachikitsa is Ayurvedic internal medicine — the most comprehensive branch dealing with systemic diseases. Our clinicians manage chronic conditions including diabetes, arthritis, skin disorders, respiratory issues, and digestive ailments using classical Ayurvedic formulations.
Panchakarma is the cornerstone of Ayurvedic detoxification and rejuvenation. Our dedicated Panchakarma centre offers authentic classical treatments supervised by expert physicians, using traditional oils and herbal preparations.
Ayurvedic surgery (Shalya Tantra) at Agastya Ayurveda covers both classical surgical procedures and modern surgical interventions. Our OT is equipped with modern instruments while following Ayurvedic principles of wound management and healing.
Shalakya Tantra encompasses Ayurvedic ENT, Eye, and Head-Neck treatment. Our department manages disorders of eyes, ears, nose, throat, and oral cavity using classical Ayurvedic approaches combined with contemporary diagnostic tools.
Our Obstetrics & Gynaecology department provides comprehensive Ayurvedic care for women across all life stages — from preconception counselling through pregnancy, childbirth, and postnatal care, including management of gynaecological disorders.
Kaumarabhritya is the Ayurvedic branch of paediatrics, covering the health and wellbeing of children from infancy through adolescence. Our team manages growth & nutrition, common childhood ailments, and immunity-building Ayurvedic protocols.
Atyayika Chikitsa is our department for emergency and critical Ayurvedic care. Trained staff are available round-the-clock to stabilise and manage acute conditions, integrating rapid clinical assessment with time-tested Ayurvedic emergency protocols.
Agada Tantra is the Ayurvedic branch of toxicology and forensic medicine. Our department covers management of poisoning cases, drug interactions, and medico-legal aspects of Ayurvedic practice as per classical texts and modern forensic principles.
This department focuses on preventive healthcare, social medicine, and the integration of Yoga with Ayurveda. Students learn to promote health, prevent disease, and guide communities toward a balanced, healthy lifestyle as per classical Ayurvedic principles.
